i bought these adapters because i have like 10 sets of tires for my monster pirate and dont play much with it anymore,so i found these adapters to fit on the savage that will fit 17mm hexes damn this is a dream!!!no more stripped hexes 17mm rims are tough as hell i think the buggys use them to? here is the auction i won if anyone wants to take a look:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5906331986

If the 17mm adapters that fit the T maxx are the same you can get them at tower or at most any hobby shop.

Hey HB1111, I bought the same adaptors from that guy about a month ago. You might have to shave down your inner rim because mine were binding up at the bearing and you couldn't tighten the wheels down enough. I'll show a pic tonight when I get home.

hey tim they are diffrent i was going to buy then but the guy rc-boyz told me they will not fit but thanks, i keep stripping out the rims i've had my monster pirate for 3 years and never stripped a rim!! hpi and all these other ones are just to small and thin the 17mm ones will survive ill take a look at your pics. thanks a bunch

Those look like Hyper 7 Hubs, I have heard that they will fit the Savage.. Hyper 7 hubs
The ofna t-maxx adapters will work but need modding. They must be drilled to accept the Savage axle and material must removed from the inner face of the hub to allow proper alignment of the pin. The adapters require a bit of work but I like the way they fit the threaded portion of the Savage axle, more support.

Sorry to be so late on my pics HB but here they are. The pic of the rim shows in black where I have to shave the rim down otherwise it will bind up on the bearing housing on my Savage. Or you need to find a washer to put in the rim to move it out which is what I might do. The size of his nut that mounts on the axle is just too thin, another 1/8 of an inch would be perfect. I hope this helps.

Scott.
