ok i have just bought a 4.6 engine for my savage i put it in but the trans is

being a AHole i have changed the setting on it put it doesn't shift it revs to

high then i change it to a longer shift still no shift.

if u know anything let me now please.

I don't know how much adjustment you have tried, I'd try to find factory settings and start over if you are sure the slipper is working properly. The shift is supposed to be controlled by how fast the truck is moving not just engine rpm, which why I think the slipper is the problem.

I am assuming it shifted ok with the previous motor.

First off this is hard to freakin read, capital letters go at the beginning of a sentence with the periods and the end.

As racer said start with the slipper, this is a common problem.

You said you changed it to a longer shift...meaning taking longer to shift? If it's revving high and not shifting you should adjust it to shift sooner not later. Make sure you are adjusting the correct screw in the tranny.

I put an F4.1 in my savage, and aside from the slipper loosening itself, it runs great. Haven't been able to test the shift points, however. If your slipper keeps coming loose, there is a fix that I'm working on; once it stops raining I'll post up what it is, if it works.

yes, it did shift good with the old engine, it was the savage 25 motor

Sounds like your flywheel may be loose. Did you tighten it down all the way?

Failing that, check to make sure your slipper is set at 1/2 turn from all the way tight.

If that isn't the cause, check your shift point is set how it specs in the manual. I believe it's 3 and 1/2 turn from the screw being flush with the top of the threads.
