I just got a new savage 4.6 big block. I ran 4 tanks which is what hpi recommends. It still sounds like it is tight. I'm not sure because this is my first nice truck. Does it sound like this because it is a bigger motor or because it is still too tight?

4 tanks is not a break in. I'd run about 6 more tanks through it (lightly) keeping it above 200F running on the ground and leaning it out a little before each start.

Then take out your glow plug and turn it over with your finger and see if you can turn it over without any pinch at TDC then a pop when the piston goes back down. Then you know for sure its broken in :)

Lighten up, gnarkill. He posted a logical answer to your question.

Sorry about that. I was having a rough day and was in a bad mood. Atleast I realized this and I am truly sorry.
