i have been playing with my truck and today it lost drive from the back wheels.thw wheels are still connected together but get no drive from the gearbox. any ideas please
 
Start at the differential and work your way forward. It could be a stripped diff, or something as simple as the pin through the drive shaft.

You are most likely missing a grub screw in the trans or diff drive cup. For some reason HPI never uses loctite on them and this is usually one of the first problems encountered with a Savage.
 
You most likely lost this shaft screw like Racer said(part number 86094), thats what happened to me. Good luck and keep us posted.

i have just finished checking my truck and yes i have lost that pin as you said,so hopefully not an expensive fix. Thanks for your quick help as you were spot on.
 
Nope, not expensive at all. Just remember to use locktite when you put them on to prevent them from rattling out.
