My buddy and I took the trucks out to his father's old factory last night to run them for a bit. He got a new radio that he wanted to install.
Took both nitro trucks out last night, he said his wasn't running right, but it's prolly also tuned for the warmer weather, but I was amazed at how much faster mine was compared to his T-Maxx 2.5. I walked all over his truck!
But compared to the Savage 4.1, yeah the 2.5 T-Maxx would appear slower than smell!
His seems to be a bit more high maintenance than my HPI and his seems a little more finicky. The Savage seems to have GOBBS more power than his, even off the line, roosting snow, jumping snow ramps from the plows, but mine also seemed to need to come to a complete stop before shifting out of second back to first again or it would bog. Even tho there was a significant difference with the engines.
I picked up some Trinity "Monster Blend" blend 20% fuel and my truck seemed to LOVE IT! Either that or the slight adjustment to the idle and LSN helped. Can I run 33% on this with the exhaust mods?
Just thought I'd post up a story.
