how do u tell if i have a 4.6 engine or a 4.1...i dont have the box,got it used.. Can you just tell me what to look for on a 4.6.:whhooo:

Ok, I got a question that kinda relates to this thread. I just bought a used savage, and I'm not sure which model it is. I know the the "x" models have an x on the exterior of the side of the frame. Mine doesn't. I've got the older style tvp's. Anyone know how to tell which model I've got?

The .21 and .25 Savages are the same except for the engine and updated fuel tank.

The 4.6 introduced the cam style steering servo saver, has adjustable upper tie rods, and upgraded the differential internals.

Having said that, the previous owner could have added each upgrade (and engine) to a .21 and you would never know the original model.
