I recently put the 3 speed upgrade in my savage and it acts like its shifting from 1st to 3rd. I can only hear it shift once anyway. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Sounds like the 3rd gear shift point is adjusted too soon and engaging before 2nd gear.
Adjust 3rd gear shift for a later shift point (clockwise) slowly, once you have it switching into 2nd and 3rd you can adjust 3rd to your preference.

So do I have to take the front of the trany off to adjust the third gear?
