My savage 25 will not switch into 2nd gear no matter what..Does anyone know a solution???

How does it run once it's warmed up? If it runs good without any sputtering or hesitation, you'll need to adjust the transmission shift point. Pop the rubber plug, locate the offset hex and turn it about 1/8 turn counter clockwise.

The silper cluch could be loose tight it down and back off a 1/4 of an turn or the pad has a shine to it then its not grabbing and ruffen it up with fine sand paper or replace it.
The cluch shoes can be worn down and not reaching full rpm to the tranny. next check if there is brake binding. For the tranny to shift there needs to be the right amount of rpm from the engine. try that and let us know.

What do the clutch shoes look like if they are wore. How do I check for brake binding

brake binding: With the electronics on with out the engine running the truck should roll freeley when you push it if not then losen up the set screw on the brake link intill it does.

top is an pic of worn shoes and at bottom right is new ones. sorry about the pic my computer did not want to work with me. See if that helps

It still will not change into second gear. The cutch shoes are good and no brake binding. It has only ran one tank gallon of fuel. I have turn the screw in the transmission every way...How far is the screw out??

Sounds like you need to lean the HSN some more and check your slipper clutch out.
If it's not those items, then pull the tranny and inspect the shifter clutch. Make sure it is not bent.
My bet is you have turned it too much one way or the other.
If you hold the truck up off the ground and rev it wide open does it shift?
