Hi all

I have some tiny problems whit my Savage or the engine. Its a Collari 30 engine.

When i try to start it whut the roto start it wont grip turning around but no movment in the piston.

Is it the one way bearing or one way shaft or both that is the problem??? Do any one know???

Iam from Norway and here u can't get parts for these engins.

Try cleaning the one-way bearing. that's probably your problem.
while you have the engine off, you'll be able to tell.

It sounds like the owb to me. With the rotostart it's hard to "feel" the engine. I would try to clean the owb first and see if you can get a little more life out of it since you're so far from a lhs. If you do mail order a new one I'd get a couple just so you have them handy for future repairs. Remember, with the rotostart you want quick 2-3 second bursts, don't hammer on it...

The collari 30 has internal one way bearings. Pull off the backplate and after spraying the one way with some nitro cleaner, check if the starting shaft is worn. I know mine has considerable wear after 3+ gallons. I'd contact werks racing directly to get a replacement. Talk to Eric V., he is a very helpful guy.

I have tryed to clean it but the one way shaft wont gripp at all.

Its right as far as i can see :)

The the starting shaft is very worn

that is your prob, i had the same prob with 24/7 . It would grip a bit then i would clean it and it would work then it wouldnt grip. you will see a ring around the shaft. Hope this helps

Check if the nut that is placed over the bearing is cracked if it is this is your problam and you will have to replace that then, thats the problem I had with mine.
