Iv tuned my savage 25 and it seems to be running fine but I dont see much of a smoke trail. if it is because its too lean when i set it just a little richer it runs like crap....please help......by the way does any1 know of any clubs or tracks near nashville tn,,,,,,,

Thanks

You should invest in a temp gun (about $40.00) but yea it might be too lean, adjust the HSN first then the LSN while it's running, I believe that if you richen the HSN you need to lean the LSN 1/8 turn at a time between adjustments, and run the truck for atleast 1 - 2 minutes after adjusting so the needles have time to take the effects, then check the temp with your gun..........if you don't have a gun yet you can either put a drop of water (or spit) on top of the heat sink, if it evapoates in 5 seconds or less it's too hot, should evaporate in about 6 - 7 seconds for good temp, but really, get a temp gun ASAP if you can, well worth the money in the long run

Yup. Get a temperature gun or onboard temp. monitor. I am looking into them right now. I like the Venom onboard temp monitor because it is cheap (like 30 bucks on E-bay) and has great reviews.

I think the tradeoffs are that a gun is more accurate while a temp monitor will record the highest temp - great for when you're romping it!

Yea that venom looks nice, but I think one of those small temp guns is the way to go
