What temperture should my savage be.I checked it after 15 min and it was 301 deg.

i run mine 240-250 depends on the weather and if I'm racing or just bashing

Here's where I always get flamed, I run my 25 around 290, but 6 gal and no problem. I can get it down to 275ish and still be ok, but it just seems to like it hotter. I definately try to stay under 300 and when I check it it's after some hard running.

I dont have a savage but i know 301 is too hot for any engine

I read that the hsn needs to be richened to lower temps....correct?
