Well. I'm about to buy a screw kit for my Savage 25 RTR. The one I see on eBay says (Savage 25 SS Screw kit), but I have the RTR version. I was wondering if it was compatible. I know the SS has some upgraded parts than the RTR version, so I just wanted to make sure they're compatible. LMK. Thanks!

Yup, I've personally ran the part numbers on each savage series, and the screws between the 25's are the same. There are a few hopups, but other than that, they're the same.

Now, 25 and X; there's a fair amount of different screws, but they're mostly in the diff bulkheads and the TVP's near the ends. Even then, their part numbers match those of others on the truck.

This may not be the case but, generally when screw kits for RC cars are listed on ebay as "SS" they're refering to the fact that the screws are Stainless Steel. Stainless screws are usually quite a bit softer than the stock steel screws, so you may experience striping (teehee) and breakage. Personally I'd stay away from these kits and just search ebay for "Savage X hardware". Then just buy the screws that the seller pulled out of an HPI kit.
Happy motoring.:)

Not to piss off there but when i got stripped stock screws, i replace by stainless steel ones and holds much better. Just my opinion...

Oh okay! Thanks.

NitroJoe: They probably will be softer or maybe not (Because I've heard that they actually do a good job), I just basically need a screw set for the Savage and the guy I'm buying it from is the guy I'm buying my other part from so I save on shipping. But thanks for the tip though. I might have a thread on which is stronger.
