I am considering the Savage 25 for my first off-road car and i have a few questions about the roto start system. There have been problems mentioned about there been too much torque when starting up, and the result broken parts. Do the benefits outweight the problems associated with the roto start? Also what equipment is needed to get the roto start going (that is not included in the RTR version) e.g batterys, starters ???? :read:

Ok
If you have a drill then use that instead of a roto-start I find that it moves the piston slower makeing the oneway spin slower so it dont break. If you use the rotostart syster right it "should not break" meaning that you only hold it down fror less than 10 seconds

The rotostart requires a 6 cell pack.

I've had my Savage RTR out a bunch of times with no problems. I hear that problems occur if you continue to use the rotostart and you've flooded the engine.

So far no problems....
