The savage 25 comes with a 15T and 18T clutch bell. Obviously one have more teeth than the other, but what benefits would i get if the 18T was fitted instead of the 15T??

the 18 would give you a higher top speed with a slower take off compaired to the 15 tooth. The 18 will also work the motor harder.

18t Clutch Bell is recommended for ON ROAD USE ONLY, not really enuff low end torque for off roading unless you want to have a short lived engine, benifits are a higher top speed if you want more torque go with a CB with a lower number of teeth, like a 14t or 13t

i personaly think the 18T is a waste for the Savage.. you kinda defeat the purpose of the truck... stick with the 15T with 49T spur gear.. but if you want more heavy duty gearing you can get the RRP 52T Spur Gear it comes with a 14T Clutch Bell... that is best gearing for off and on road

Mine came with a 15t spur (RRP Metal 52t spur & 15t CB).......now I feel cheated!

I agree with StreetFighter. The 18t seems to be a waste for the Savage. I have stuck with the 15T clutch bell and alternate between a 49T spur or 52T spur. The 49T is plenty fast for typical backyard bashing, while the 52T is a blast for climbing and extreme off road.

It seems that if the Savage is used for its intended purpose - heavy duty offroad performance - the 18T is only good for occasional onroad top speed bragging rights.

I have to agree with that, the 52 is killer for climbing........if you have looked in my gallery at what I call Savage Mountain, the guy at the quarry that runs the loader actually measured the hill for me, 75 feet to the top, not sure of the angle of the grade but can say for sure it is better than 45 degrees, been to the top many times!
