Hey guys, well been bashing on my new 4.6, runs awesome by the way. Hanging out at the favorite spot, the hobby shop when the owner tells me he has a savage .25 he bought off of someone the other day, it seems the last owner took it apart then lost intrest. It has a AXIAL .28 on it, no wheels or tires, no body, I ask him how much, he says $100.00 bucks. so i bought it, I am going to put it back together, i allready have enough parts, he threw in a new servo and some other stuff. so how do you think i did? it really looks like someone took reasonably good care of it. i'll try to post some pics when i'm done, i think for a hundred bucks it will make a great winter project. kdogg:D

You made out like a bandit. That's a SUPER deal, especially with that .28.
You need to give him ALL your RC business. He's a good guy when it comes to pleasing a customer.

hi, yes i do all of my business with Tony at Danville Hobby, he's allways great to service what he sales and has alot of experience working on rc vehicles. I really don't know much about the AXIAL .28, except that he said it looked almost new when he took the head off to inspect it. I was wondering what kind of mill this is as far as keeping it tuned? i've heard their not that great but i have no first hand knowledge of this mill. i figured for the price i gave for the truck if it runs at all it would be a good deal. any input on AXIAL Engines would be greatly appreciated. thanks kdogg

Put the three speed in it with the taller third gear. I did this to my Savage X and love it! It's kind af a pain getting the shift points set but once I got them where I wanted them it was totally worth it.
