PAINFULLY* (i am a t-maxx owner)
I would have to say that the breakage factor of the savage to the t-maxx is the biggest Difference. The t-maxx is lighter, and maybe faster at acceleration, but can barely stay alive for it to get there in the stock form. the savage, however, is much heavier, and the 21 engine has a lot more wieght to pull, but it stays together better. if you want a truck that is easy to work on (but still easy to break) get the t-maxx. also if you want tons and tons of hop up parts, go for the t-maxx. i chose the t-maxx because a lot of people including me take pride in having a very unique ride. but the savage, i just think keeping it close to stock is pretty good for the kid who dont wanna wrench much. i love being very unique with my maxx (already moved a buncha stuff, hopped it up, and put 1/8 scale buggy tires on it (ofna t-maxx tire converter wheel hubs) (24.95). dont we all want to be unique from each other? or would you rather have a truck that looks all the same. thats why i went for the t-maxx. but if you dont have much money, or dont have a steady cash flow, you might want to go for the savage.
