RC Driving Style
I have a Savage 21 truck with a 21 engine and i have started it in 2-3 years? Its been in the garage. I was just wondering the steps i should take to start this bad baby up again. Any help??
 
Well most of my experience is with airplane engines but if I was you I would take the engine out,strip and clean every thing.It wouldnt hurt to replace the bearings and they can be found alot cheaper at a bearing shop.Defnitly replace your glow plug and get some fresh juice.All of this might not sound nessery but youll at least know that the engine would be in the best shape its been in three years and trust me a engine can become a proper b!tch if not maintined for a periot that long.
 
This is just me...I would spray a little WD-40 down the carb and glow plug hole. I would then put the piston down to the bottom...heat the bad boy up a touch with a heat gun, spin it over a few times....if everything seems pretty loose I would try to fire it up.
