Saturday 4 Tec 3.3 engine carnage.

Yea, it's me again. I know you bunch of "carnage buzzards" are just waiting for my next "event" so here it is. I was running my 4 tec yesterday and smoked the engine from running way too lean (and probably from me doing an "excessive" amount of grinding on the crankshaft.) AND, I got it on video! The video starts off with a flip-flop. The car goes by me like a rocket at 22 and 33 seconds and then I smoked the engine @ 59 seconds. It broke the crank pin right off the crank and it "appears" that I have no damage to the piston and cylinder. Lucky for me that I was running a Davis Diesel rod or I probably would have destroyed that too.

About 2 yrs ago, I was at the slot car race track running in a 400 lap Nascar race. About 300 laps into it, one of the other guys realized that the bearings were burning up in his motor so he he sprayed it full of some kind of lubricant. About 20 more laps and his car came to a grinding halt and went "poof" and the engine was on fire. It started melting the top of the body before he put it out. We all just though it was the coolest thing we had ever seen happen on a slot car race track.
