Hey guys.. I'm going to toronto to fly to cancun.. has anyone been to the airport in the past few days or around there? I was just wondering because of the sars.... In school when i come back and anyone who goes to toronto hasto go to the nurses office to get a test done to see if you caught the disease...

SARS is a Bad, Bad Virus? don't get me wrong.
The media has blown it all out of wack and rightfully so however live your life and don't worry about it.

My Sister In-Law works for the CDC In Taiwan. My wife is leaving for her yearly pilgrimage to the mother ship and was advised that there were no worries. This comes from a lady that checks herself into a hospital every time she sneezes.

well i was still going to go anyways... but i was wondering if anyone knew anything else about this...

cus i guess the only people that got it were already sick.
 
If you ever do get S.A.R.S There is a 95% chance that you will NOT die from the virus.Yet it is a BAD virus.I suggest getting going to the doctors after you comeback to make sure you don't got it.
 
Dont worry. If you see someone sick dont run. Have some fun. Worrying about the Sars virus will ruin your whole trip! Like So-:doc:

My Grampa, Uncle, and Aunt went to China for a few days. Now half of the family don't want to get close to them.... Remember, there is no cure for the virus, maybe in a year, someone will come out with a cure for it. They also check you before you get back home, I think they do that.... Either way, I rather not get it, than do. My dad friends parents also went to China, and they too, didn't want to get close to them. The parent stayed in a hotel for about 10 days, after getting checkups, they were able to go home. Better safe than sorry....:ball:
 
Our family doctor gave us antibiotics.. that are sopose to help... I guess they kill infections or anything that isnt normally in the body.. like it helps the imune system..:contract:
 
read eddy's post. for once I agree. media takes anything it can find and runs with it. I'm sure there are other viruses other than SARS that are like this. This one justs has some attention right now. It's like going to San Francisco and then when you get back having an aids test done. just cause you were there doesn't mean you caught a virus.

Actually, in just 2 months, the scientists here in Memphis at St. Judes Research Hospital (which is known worldwide for cancer research) have formulated a vaccine for SARS. It is currently being tested at the FDA and EMEA (European Medicines Evaluation Agency).
 
Currently, there isn't any. I think you can die within a week or less or more if you happen to catch the virus. Correct me if I'm wrong.
 
I think the number is 3 out of 100 will die. 3% not bad.

If we just nuke the areas where SARS is report it will go away right? Then the areas with the Flu......Then the areas with whooping cough.....Then the areas with lime disease.....Then the areas with West Nile....... Well wait, we would all be gone then!!!!!

I don't know Christian, Buffalo is a little close to Toronto for nukes, however you could probably get aways with a shite load of cruise missles. In which case post here when you launch them so at least the healthy ones here have a chance to run! lol!

I just think its being made to be bigger than what it really is. Just think if they were announcing on the news everyone who was dying from the flu every day. Awareness is one thing, scaring the poop out of everyone is another.
 
It's so true.... car accidents kill WAY more people here than SARS, and still people here insist on driving like retards!

Now they just drive like retards wearing stupid little white masks.

The cure they really need is one that enables people to make up their own minds instead of letting the TV do it for them.
