Sand proofing Savage xs?

Any ideas on how to sand "proof" your savage? I know nothing will keep the sand out, but it there anything I should try to sand proof in particular?? Any aftermarket parts?

I used some silicone to seal up my bulkheads, never tried on an XS though.

Ok, I can try that. I just wish outerwears and rpm would jump onto the savage xs...
