hi, i live in the uk and have wanted some dirt bonz tyres for a while, so i decided to order them with the foam pre installed ( firm i think?? ) from the us with a set off the gt 5 black wheels as you can only get the chrome ones here :( . so i glued them up and took them on my grass field outside mine and tested them out. what a loud of crap! it seems that the foam moves and dosent move back which lives saggy tires like you see on a bicycle with a flat wheel. it made my savage flip when i was turning. has any body had this problem?? i heard that dirt bonz are for racing but also for bashing. does anybody know what the foams are inside them?? i.e soft, firm???.

cheers gunit

They sound like soft foams to me... You'd think these companies would sell there MT tires with better foam.. I had a similar experience, & ended up buying the Trinity Low Roll Foams... I've been using them religously....

Try drilling a small hole in each wheel. This will allow the foam to "breath" and should solve the problem. My 40 series did the same thing and the holes solved the problem. It doesn't have to be a huge hole either just a small one in each rim will do.

already have holes??

hi the gt5 already have pre drilled holes , only 1 in each wheel , very small ones though. now you said that it wouldnt hurt to drill another as they are quite bouncy. think this might do the trick.

cheers
