is it safe to run 15% cool fuel in my savage x 4.6? its a model airplane/helicopter fuel, so people say i can burn it, and others say i can't.

It will be safe, just not all that great. I suggest a 20% or higher for better performance.

If it will run, it would be safe but if I were you I would go up to at very least 20% nitro. The lower content fuels just don't give the power to higher percentages afford you. Also just because the nitro content is lower does not mean the engine will run "cooler"

You need to make note of the oil content as well. There's a mixture of Castor oil and synthetic oil in different percentages for airplanes and helicopters. Helis blow a LOT of smoke because they need the additional oils to keep them cool under the canopy. Airplane engines are behind a prop that cools them, and use a lower oil content. You need to know what the oil percentage is in car fuel vs. plane fuel before you try it.

I would not recommend running aircraft fuel in a ground vehicle. As mentioned above, the cooling requirements are MUCH different. Your best bet is to take it back to where you got it (if you haven't ran any of it) and get the right stuff. Might cost a little more, but your engine will thank you for it.
