What is a safe voltage to discharge NiMH Rx and starter pack batteries to? I'm in a tinkering mood, and want to make a discharger that will stop at a set voltage. I just need to know what that set point is.

NiMH don't need to be discharged like the old NiCd's did. But, if you want to discharge them, you can drain 'em all the way down. Won't hurt them a bit...

I would add this: IMO it IS best to store your batteries with a partial charge. What that charge is would be subjective.

40% charge is recommended for storage.

As far as discharging, don't discharge it to where absolutely nothing happens when you input with the controls. The battery needs some charge for the charger to recognize it.
