hey they declared Marshall law on tues after the curfew....there's too many idiots running around and I know exactly what I'm supposed to do to defend myself...between the pistol and the NRA sticker on my rear windshield I made that fact clear to at least the one guy......if they are too stupid to be prepared for a few days that they need to act like animals, I'll treat em like that...friggin cattle......to the slaughterhouse if I fear being torn apart by jackasses in line trying to pick a fight.....
I have much patience for people who help themselves but these idiots are like children wanting to be spoon fed......I got way pissed off about how the FL natives are acting like we are facing doomsday just 1 day after the hurricane.......people need to grow up and start doing for themselves so my tax dollars don't have to pay for their stupidity........

I didn't take it that way, I just thought the post was vague and needed some clarification on my POV to the situation....NRA, yeah, they can be a lil nutty sometimes but if they keep my firearms in my hands let em have at it.....it's funny how people assume if the law allows you to own a pistol it doesn't make them mandatory.....you stick to your way of dealing w/ an angry mob and I'll stick to mine....I walked into work this morning and those assholes are probably still waiting for gas.....

like I said it really isn't as bad as the news is making it seem.......I got a call from an ex in NY in tears thinking Ft. Lauderdale got nuked by a storm......I'm fine, daughters fine, ferret is fine, oh yeah and the RCs are fine too......what is the news telling the rest of the nation???

Its back together for us now...But if you drive about 50 miles to my east..theres still people without power. Thats where the eye made landfall.

Yep, wife and I were discussing this last night, Plaid. Jeb came on TV days before the hurricane hit and told people to stock up, that it might be days or weeks before all services would be restored so to stock up and fuel cars now, and to expect delays on getting help to all areas as even FEMA can't get to all areas the day after. He reminded the people for four days while the storm SLOWLY churned from Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico to Florida, where it was sitting for four days then, so for anyone to say they had not time or warning, then they must be a complete amoeba brain.

That is one reason, here in CA where a major earthquake can strike, and we DO NOT get warnings, I am stocked for nearly two weeks of supplies, plus I keep my motorcoach fully stocked and fueled at all times. (and ammo) My wife and I always joke that if we get hit with the big one, we will come out of our front door, belly's bursting, picking fresh meat out of our teeth with toothpicks, while everyone else is killing each other for a freakin TV set and a pair of 150.00 Adidas ghetto hoppers.
