OK I am going to take the carb off as the slide assy seems to "spin" What I mean is the arm seems to spin all the way around making my idle hell on me. I have a feeling the carb is just asking for a check up and may be a rebuild. The lever should not spin as my older mills they are locked to retracct in and out one way unless you looosen the carb grub screw...

Just seeing who else has experienced this.

OK I figured it out. Looks like the idle screw was backed out too far and came out of the groove on the carb. ...so it explains wht the arm spun around so much.If the dust boot wasn't on it would have slid all the way out!!! I haven't ran it but I washed it clean and reseealed. I will have it back up by tomorrow.

glad we could help!!

I've had mine do the same.. its kinda trcky to get that idle far enough out so you can set the needles to factory without the idle screw jumping out of that groove.. i have to say i dont like the design at all..

Is that the way you take the barrel out? Never could figure out how that barrel was staying inside the body

yes.. if you loosen the idle screw to much the barrel will slide right out..
