Seems I now have a new issue to deal with :( .........ok, here is the deal, without the engine running my steering and throttle/brake operate just as they should, but as soon as you fire it up the steering twitches left and right and the throttle does the same and I have absolutely no control over them, I have put in new batteries in the remote and fully charged the hump pack....the antena wire is intact up to the rx itself, I have not taken it apart as of yet to look inside......any ideas?

Hey man, I had the same trouble. I put new crystals in and that fixed it for me. Good luck hope this helps.

Pee Wee

mine done the same thing...and all it was my batteries were low....its happened to me mant times...try some fresh ones and see if that works

Thanks for the tips peewee and cbaker.........I have brand new batteries and a fully charged hump pack in the truck, I may go and get a new set of crystals to have on hand, I opened the rx box and blew it off with some gentle air pressure, put it all back together and so far it looks good, before even just cranking it wiht the roto start would make it start acting goofy, but now looks good, I guess a test run is in order to see how it works, if nothing else I'll also buy a new rx.....another $30 investment LOL, but man I love my Savage, it's like a freakin drug! Thanks again!

It also might be that the receiver is getting to much vibration from the motor.. Try a piece of foam around and under the receiver. Let me know what fixed the problem.

Well after letting the hump pack trickle charge over night it seems to work fine today, think I'm going to end up buying a better hump pack, this one was a cheap one ($15.00) and don't seem to really hold a charge for very long
