Okay i have a 1/8th Ansmann Virus buggy, and i want to run it Just RWD, if i took the MID-FRONT dog bone out, or whatever you wanna call it, would it just work as normal? it wouldnt damage the diff?

It might but it might not too. I took mine out of a 1/8th Caster buggy and it wouldnt work at all.

if i remember you have to cable tie the front centre diff drive cup so it won't spin. I had this problem when i was out bashing and my front diff decided to strip the pinion. I removed the front shaft and cable tied the cup and it did drive. I think its because you need all 4 wheels to drive normally. I also had a rear wheel come off mid corner and that brought it to a stop aswell. You don't get this problem with rock crawlers and drift cars as they have locked diffs.
 
If you have a center diff, it won't move unless you lock the diff. Same as taking one shaft off of a 2wd. The tire with the least amount of traction gets the power. So the side of the diff that's not attached to anything will get all of the power. Why are your wanting to run in 2wd anyway? It'll drastically take away from the performance(traction) of your buggy.
