hey guys, new to this forum. Fairly new to r/c, been in to them close to 2 years now i guess. Just recently acquired 3 nitro rustlers with 2.5's on them. I'm assuming all the gearing on them is stock because they are all three the same. I mostly run a T Maxx but got a decent deal on these and traded for them. The problem i am having is getting traction. I have, or had, three sets of tires. Not sure what kind they are, but one set was like a on road tire, one had little small teets on them, like the sidewall of a new bicycle tire, and the other looked to me like maybe it was best suited for hard pack surface, small knobbies on it that were sorta hard i guess. But anyways, non of them will get good traction on any surface. is there a good tire set out there that you guys reccomend to help this problem or is this just the nature of the beast. this is the first two wheel drive rc i have had.

I had the same problem - got the dirt hawgs they were ok for harder packed surfaces and on pavement, but I mainly run in grass. They spun all over the place in grass, just got the proline Badlands 2.8" and they are awesome! The truck will easily wheelie on command, traction is no longer an issue. I put them in the front too and now I have to really take it easy in turns or they will grab and flip the truck - they are awesome

If you really want traction get junk paddles haha but i have always liked dirt hawgs.
