Hi,

what shall i get out of a Rustler 2.5 and the RUSH evo?

Its for back yard bashing and grass, will get it flying over ramps and stuff too.

Which is stronger?

I heard that the engine on the Rustler is a bit dodgy...needs constant tuning etc..is this true?

the rustler would be your best bet if you are looking to add new stuff. i love HPI and was looking at gettting a rush just to fool around with , but i dont really like the layout, i would go with the ruster 2.5 , the 2.5 engine is good once you get it all setup, its the break in that is rough. so just take your time and do everything the right way the first time. and if you hate the 2.5 engine, just put in a fantom or epic 18 ... your rustler will FLY
 
I have a rustler, I bought it used with an already broken in Nova Rossi MT 12 engine and it does fly. pulls a bit of a wheely on the dirt sometimes. I love it. It is fast! I don't really like how the rush hangs kinda low. I don't think it would be mush of a climber. or as fast. my rustler at least does 47 or more. can do cookies in the dirt to! :yes: :radio:
 
well, i have a hpi rush, and it keeps failing me, so i would go for the rustler.
 
I would probably take the rustler because I heard that they are pretty durable
 
if your gonna get a stadium truck from Hpi loom at the Rs4 nitro mt 2 its better than the rustler in my opinion:trout: -xmas-
 
I'd go with the Rush EVO because personally, I feel as though HPI is one of the most reliable and best quality parts rc maker around. I think the Rush would be the best "bang" for the buck.
 
i would choose the rustler. to me, it's the best in it's class.that thing is bad right out the gate.i flipped it about 50 yards out. would you believe i walked all the way to it & it never shut off. i just flipped it back on all 4's & took the hell off. most truck would cut off soon as you ran to pick it up.but not my rustler.that is 1 BAD MUTHA@#$@. buy one...NOW!!! you won't be sorry.
 
how about the duratrax evader that already comes w/ a .18 OS engine?
 
i have driven the original MT , the MT2 and a Rustler... and i just got a rustler for christmas... i say rustler, it FLYs with the 2.5 engine and itss barely even broken in yet. 2wd is so much fun, however ... if you plan on trying to drive in thick or really rough terrain. i would get an MT ... but i love my rusty already
 
i have a rustler all in aluminum rustler is by far the fastest of all stadium trucks. it is real easy to tune and runs great at 220 degrees. the plastic it a little to fragile for its motor. do all metat for another 250 with the shocks from powerline racing and you will be bulletproof. i am and proved it by hitting a 10 foot jump at 50+. all i broke was a hood pin.
