hey, yesterday when out running my sav,i noticed it wasn't shifting, but it was reving high,i adjusted the hsn, then when driving around it seamed to cough and sputter when given a blast of throttle, there is a heavy cloud of smoke around this truck when it runs, but i have around 3/4 gallon of fuel through it and am a little leary about leaning it out to much yet.i checked my glow plug its all right, maybe I'm to impaitent and have to lean it out more..any advise?

3/4 of a gallon is plenty to be able to tune for max power output. Try leaning the HSN in 1/8 incriments to see if you can get it to shift.

She sounds rich from your description. Bogging when you give it throttle. My question is does it bog when you go from 0 to full throttle? Does it bog when you go from 1/2 to full throttle? Just asking because if it's bogging even when you give it a little throttle, that may be the LSN. But if it's bogging even when you try WOT, that's probably HSN.

ya it only bogs from 1/2 to full, lower throttle it's fine,so it must be loading up with fuel?
at first i thought old fuel so i held it off the ground and rev it up a little to clean it out,...thx for the help,i'll let you know what happens

If your glow plug is still very shiny, your rich.

If its white but not distorted, your running your engine at 100%.

If the coil is distorted, your lean.
