Ran my tmaxx pretty hard (3/4 throttle) for about 10 mins straight? and when i checked the temp i was running at 310. is this normal to only run it for a few mins at a time?
and also i can only run it about 3/4 throttle or it bogs out. is that too lean or too rich?
Thanks in advance for the help

310 is too hot. without seeing or hearing it run its hard to tell if its too lean or rich but at 310 id say too lean

To get that hot your Lsn is super lean. 270-275 is tops what you want to run and that's still pretty hot. I run mine about 220-240.

No that's your hsn. It's prob lean as well. Start back at factory setting and lean from there.

Not if it's tuned right it shouldn't. If that were the case there wouldn't be any 20-30 minute mains in racing.

I would have to agree here. If you are tuned properly, there is no reason why you shouldnt be able to run around for 10 mins straight.

I run mine for 30-40 min at a time refueling while it's still running and my temps stay around 240-250 tops

I am with all the other guys here you are running way to lean, And running it at temps like that you will burn up the engine. go back and work on getting the low side set back and the high side back. got to get it to where is runs good at idle and response to the throttle good. and make sure it runs out on the top side with some good smoke coming from the pipe. need to keep them temps down it should run a tank of fuel out and never get over 240-250 on the temp.

I'd seal it first off. Just to eliminate any chance of air leaks. Then start with your hsn at 3 1/2, lsn at 1 3/4. Check the fuel system and pipe coupler too.

did i mention i live in colorado. so i very high altitude. and its a 3.3, idk what I'm doing wrong, now its running at around 240 260 but it just keeps bogging out on me. its driving me nuts...
ran it for about 30 mins today working on it trying to tune it and bam ran into a pole. practically snapped off the whole front end... looks like I'm going to Denver this weekend to get some new parts...

Not sure what the hell I was talking about in my last post.:) Seal the engine before you start the rest of the truck. Put it in a warm spot and it will be ready when the trucks back together. Takes a couple hours for the rtv to dry.

Try to avoid 300's what i personally do, is actually hold my screw driver in my steering hand. After about half a tank of driving i check my temps always and make adjustments accordingly.
