does anyone know the best way to get the jeep rubicon body to sit nicely on the tmaxx?...I am having trouble w/the back body mount and if I get that to line up nicely then the front hangs over to much. Can anyone give me some tips?

It was pretty tricky to get mine to fit. You'll be doing a lot of cutting. The stock dimples don't work with the Tmaxx mounts. You pretty much have to align it to the best location where the rears don't go into the slanted part.
The front fender flares have to come completely off, and the cutout needs to be enlarged in order to clear the tires at full turn, and full down suspension.
Since I've also added a massive front bumper/bull bar to mine, the entire grill had to be cut out also.

thanks rolex you wouldnt happen to have any pics would ya?

Here's the side view. Body mounts go through the bottom roll bar in the rear.

Here it is with the grill cut out to clear the bull bar. The front wheel wells were not cut out yet.

Here's the body with the flares remove and the fender openings enlarged.

Thanks alot Rolex....damn you had to take all the fenders off huh?...now did you drive it before and find it out or just test fitting? Also I have the taller bodymount posts so I wonder if I will have to take as much off....I guess there is only one way to find out huh? Your rear posts do they go in the holes that hpi had set up or just towards the rear. (my probem is I still have the stock front bumper and the front bumper of the jeep body goes over it and looks kinda foolish I guess I have some trimming in store for me.

The first 2 photos were taken before it was driven. The window trim stickers weren't on yet either. Don't go by the dimples in the rear. there are 2 sets, but neither of them put the front in the right place.
Mine are through the center of the bottom roll bar.
You can leave your grill, but you'll probably have to take off most of the front end.
My rear bumper is the straight step bumper, and that's what I lined the body up with. With the stock curved bumper, you'll have another problem.

ok thanks...yea I was looking at getting the RPM step bumper I think that would look alot better with the jeep body. I will get that and then like you said line it up off that. Thanks again Rolex

I use a tapered reamer bit in a dremmel to get them started. Once it goes in, it tends to chatter, so once I have a pilot hole, I use a tapered grinding stone to finish them. Before they are ground to full size, I keep test fitting to see which way they need to be enlarged.
