I stripped a spur gear and was wondering how hard it is to replace it manual is not very detailed
 
It's not bad at all. Remove the screw retaining the brake cam arm and then the four screws holding the plastic cover over the two speed housing. Then pull the assembly out and dissasemble on the bench. Take photos and lay it out as you take it apart to remember which way the gears go.

Every new gear stock gear I've bought came with instructions including pictures. Its very easy and once you do it once it sticks with you.
 
I'm doing the excact thing right now for my rs4... really easy..
I'm a newbie also lol... Just waiting to get my new spur gear in...
