:wtf: OK. heres the deal. This is my 1st on road car. i bought it to see if I would like the on road scene. Well, here's the ?. Why is it that the car turns better to the left than it does to the right? I'm thinkin it has to do with the way the diffs are set up.. is this true of all on road, or just cheap kits? it kinda sucks!! Turn right and make large circle. Turn left and spin out.. there has to be a way to correct this...Do I need something ( like a better kit ), or do I have to learn to drive on road???????????
 
Hey, your servo is not centred or the link is to short or to long.
I had this prob, just adjust things.
This car is not cheap. It has beat cars that have more money in them. You need to learn how to drive it a little better so you don't spin it out.
Try this.

Thx Somers, but my servo is centered and the linkage is jusy fine. Let me explain it like this.... the car can do donuts in one direction and not the other. Why ??? And yes I can turn my wheels lock to lock, L&R...:constipat
 
Hey, sorry if you took my comment out of proportion. ( Learn to drive better) I didn't know if you were a beginer or not.
I now know why it won't turn how you want it to.
I looked at mine last night for about an hour and I came to the conclussion that.... The motor is on the right side of the car. When you turn it to the right, all the weight isn't on the side of the car that you are turning, when you turn to the left, the motor, gas tank with fuel has its weight on the side giving it lots of traction. What is your thought on my conclussion?? Is that one more accurate?

No affence taken. I'm not new to nitro, just new to this on-road stuff. I thought it was time to be fair and give it a go..
Your conclusion is a good one. That's what I came up with this afternoon. I looked at it real good then took it for a whirl. Then it all dawned on me....... The weight distribution... Heavier on one side than the other....

Carefully check you front end alignment settings. From working on real car front ends for over a year full time, I can say that being off a little bit can have a huge effect on handling. There are three alignment angles. "Caster"; the front to rear tilt of the hub down through its centerline. "Chamber"; the inward/outward tilt of the tire at the top in relation to plumb. "Toe"; the inward/outward angle for the tires in relation to perfectly straight ahead. The setup can vary depending on the type of driving. A ballpark for the chamber might be about 1 to 2 degrees negative (inward at the top), Toe could be anyware from zero to about 1/16 inward from straight ahead at the front of the tires. The Caster is set by the angle of the front hubs and/or lower arm mounts and can only be changed by replacing hubs and/or arm mounts it is not adjustable. Keep in mind that anytime you change and one angle in the suspension you effect all others at the same time. They all work together and the wrong setup will kill handling. Just a few thoughts on a posssible reason for your problem. If the the left front has more positive chamber (positive is outward tilt) than the right side the car will turn faster to the left than to the right. The same idea with the toe. If the toe is off a lot, then the left front tire could actuall be dragging the edge and not running true straight. When you turn left it is already a bit to the left and it reacts quicker than it should.
