rs4 rtr3 need help

aight whats up people i have a rs4 rtr3 with a .12 os cvr engine a cvec tuned pipe two speed and i was wondering what elese should i get, is the boost bottle just a waste of money and would this car beat a tc3 in top speed like draggin
 
If you are still using the stock header, upgrade it, it is a pos. If you are still using the single needle carb, upgrade it too. Adjustable turnbuckles are nice as well. Dont waste your money on a boost bottle, they are pretty much just eye candy.
 
ok thanks my os engine came with a nice new carb i dont need a new one but thanks how much would a good header cost
 
Looks like you have a lot already covered. Like NC said, turnbuckles would be a help. Perhaps going to MIP CVD's. Lighter chassis. That's about all I can think of for now. And a new header is only about $10.
 
Sorry, I had a brain fart, I did not notice you had the OS engine in it already, great choice btw.

You can even use a T maxx header, from a pro 15 not 2.5, or the cen header.
 
the t-maxx header fits like poop,and is a smaller diameter,just port the 3ss header!adjustable turnbuckels are great for cornering, you can add the carbon upperdeck and shock towers to lose some weight=more speed :fro:
 
hey skater 122 DO NOT get that boost bottle itll bur your motor up :censored: that is unless you are a master engine tuner
 
aight i didnt i got the carb insted with all my stuff i have on it now (same as above) would it beat a tc3 in a drag a stock tc3 with a 2 speed
 
Hey Jones, he does not have the SS, he has the rtr, it has that crappy right angle header. I had a tmaxx header on my rtr 3 before I installed the THS Racing pipe. Sorry, but it did not fit like poop, it might not be the best header on the market but it is much better than the stocker. Since the choices for headers and pipes for the RS4 3 are very slim I only know of three headers that will fit properly and clear the rear wheel. The cen, tmaxx, and ss. I have seen the ss header and it seems to have very thin walls, I know of several people who have bent them easily in mild crashes.
 
Ya, the RTR manifold is junk,I had to run the T-MAXX header myself after a small incident during porting?The MAXX header was smaller in diameter and shorter it would rub my larger bashing tires and threw the stinger location off on my bodies?The ss header seemed to be as thick as the MAXX header,any differance isnt noticable to me.I did have to flange the MAXX header to keep the silicone boot from popping off!
