I just picked up a used HPi RS4 3 from a friend and the car is in pretty rough condition and needs a rebuild from the ground up but runs well (starts 1st few pulls) i do plan on upgrading to a different engine in spring but that can wait ..

I want to make it race worthy and is there aftermarket parts i can purchase to make it lighter ?? and if so what are the parts ??

I do need a new exaust and header for it + motor saver air filter and was wondering what u fellas are using in place of the stock parts ???

What would u change 1st and why?

I would like to race my ride in spring and want to prep it for racing.

please if u can list it from most important to least..

Please Help i am new to the 1/10 Touring Nitro scene
and any help is greatly appreciated :)

Thx again : SunnyD :n00bie: :sniper:

I had the HB's shock towers, steering knuckels, Graphite carbon fiber chassis, 2 speed tranny, Motor Savers air filter. It has the HPI .15SS engine and Dynamite pipe. I had JR servos in their also with some other hop-ups I can't remember. I polished my turd.

:argue: well the first process in (polishing the terd)????????OK????? would have to be adjustable turnbuckels and tie rods get a new header+pipe 2speed tranny and by the time you get that installed youll know whats up!

yeh i do need adjustable turnbuckels (Stock Blows, no adj.)

Can u put up a link or some pics of brand i should go with???

thx alot for all your help fellas :)

Say Hello to my Lil Friend

sorry no link, but LUNSFORD RACING makes some of the best titanium turnbuckels on earth,of coarse you could just get some factory replacements for the RS4 3ss from HPI if cost is an issue!

Not much done. .15fe with port and polished sleeve, carb, and exhaust port, Hi Flow Filter,Dynamite exhaust with ported header, new rims body and slicks coming in soon, then comes the two speed.

Here is my Rs4 3 Type SS.

Hop Ups include:

HPI graphite upper deck
HPI graphite shock towers
Fantom FR15
THS pipe/header set
Lunsford Ti. turnbuckle set
RPM HD ballcups
MIP CVD's
HPI Fiber brake
HPI threaded alloy shock set
HPI light weight flywheel
HPI racing clutch
Gearing: 19/43 first 23/39 second

It's fast as hell and handles great but I wish I wouldn't have spent so much on it.For the cash I spent hopping this thing up I coulda got a nice R40 or built a TC3.You can't beat it when it come to bashing though!! I've never broken a single part and it's been thru some S$#@!!!!
