i need help with something, just received some stuff for my Rs4 18ss a part I am having a slight problem in was the Center Steel Main Universal Swing Shaft Set. The rear peace was installed with no problem, but the Front one was somehow short! It does not go all the way in the cup, or at least half way... it just sits there on the edge, I mean I can use it that way but I don’t want to risk it...

I was wondering if the MT2 18ss front center cup was a little longer, length wise? If so I think it would work perfectly.

Thanks in advance and here is a picture of what I'm talking about just incase:

I can't speak to the RS4, but I do know that the MT's center drive shafts are of different lengths. The rear center shaft is shorter than the front center shaft. I do not believe the MT front center outdrive (cup) is any longer than the others, so you'd most likely be trading like-for-like. Have you tried putting the rear one you installed in the front? Are they both the same length? It may be you grabbed the wrong part (been there!) and the shafts you got are for a different car.

Hopefully this helps a little!

oh no, the parts are for the RS4 evo/18ss I'm 100%sure on that, and I'm also sure I did not switch them hence the rear Disk like brake installs on the rear Center shaft.. Where it has a special slot to slip into, and the rear one is shorter and Fits better than the stock setup, but the Front seems just a little too short....

I'm thinking its a manufactures fault! I'm going to have to email them about it, if my idea of using an mt218ss front out drive doesn’t work.

I'm also thinking it might be the chassis, hence I'm using mostly GPM alloy parts on my Rs4 including the Center Gear mount… maybe GPM adapted that so it will work with there chassis.. but that’s just some small guy telling me that inside my head lol.
