I took the car out and ran about ¾ of a quart through it. When I was done the car was absolutely filthy. There is grime and dirt all over the entire car. The inside of the body was also caked in grime. I took the foam out of my Motorsaver and it was also very dirty. The filter was just cleaned before this run so all of the dirt was picked up today.

The parking lot I was driving in looked clean to me. I am really not sure where all of this dirt is coming from. The last time I took the car out the same thing happened. My Savage never gets this dirty just from driving around in a parking lot. I am guessing that this is happening because the car is so low and it has a flat chassis (unlike my Savage TVP).

Is this normal? My motor is not leaking anything and my fuel tank is not leaking. The motor runs great and it blows a lot of oil smoke.

It's normal.

My onroads always get skuzzy.
1 run and it looks like it's been in an 10 hour main.

Ok.

This new 18ss motor is great. It starts right up, runs smooth as silk, makes big power and rpm, and it has yet to stall or flame out on me. The temps got up to about 240 today and it was blowing tons of smoke. The car looks fast.

On-roads are like that. I guess the lower stance and aerodynamics of the car's body sucks up a lot of the residue from the exhaust. If you're runing foams, the foam slowly dissintegrates and that also cakes up on the inside of the body. Savages are up higher and there is greater airflow to get rid of the exhaust.

plus the tires are on the outside of all other r/c's but they are on the inside of the body on a touring...those thing just sling crap all over the place.

My onroads got messy even on groomed surfaces. The exhaust smoke was like an adhesive and where it landed dirt followed. I learned to bring compressed air and DA all the time.

yup, my onroads get nasty from only a few hours of parking lot racing with buddies. when i get home its time for some DA or wd40, whichever i have on hand, and then the air compressor. I'm going to try some of that silicon spray that fasteddy recommended though to see if it helps any, i kinda doubt it though. exhaust is drawn into the car by aerodynamics. id image a 2-3" deflector would help some, though it would look goofy, and get knocked off pretty quick if your bashing with buddies or racing.

The deflector is odd looking on these as the Onroads tend to have a smooth all around look and a deflector is like having whip cream on your nose when drinking Hot Chocolate.LOL Not that ever happened to me.... :hehe:

Try it after eating some spam and eggs for a late night snack. Even better, make some Tapsilog! (sorry guys, gotta be filipino to know what that is.)
