One of the issues with the RRP slipper is the grease from the supplied bearing gets spun into the composite slipper pads.

Several of the Supermaxx guys recommend that you clean the grease out of the supplied bearing.

The bearing itself doesn't spin more than a few revolutions at one time. Cleaning the grease out of the bearing and running it dry will not cause any shot time issues. In the long run the bearing needs to be inspected and replaced if it shows any signs of defect.

To clean it just soak it in carb cleaner or shoot it with nitro cleaner. If you have an RPM bearing blaster all the better.

I hope this helps.

Damn it. I'm going to have to remove my spur gear now and blast the bearing.

Have you or anyone had any problems by not spraying out the extra grease?

In the past I have noticed that the pads get soaked after a while. Is it from the bearing? Who the hell knows. I read this in more than one place so I thought I would post it. I'm sure it wont hurt. Next time you do a tare-down and replace your pads, give it a shot.
