i just traded my stock tmaxx tranny for one with a brand new rrp steel forward only and i swapped my stock diff for a spooled rear end whats the good the bad and the ugly??

You might tear things up in the drivetrain if you run the locked rear on high traction surfaces. Will probably experience some understeer(front end not turning as well). You may have the rear end slide around more on very low traction surfaces. The steel forward only should help the strenghth.I have not tried a locked diff yet myself ,this is just what I know from 1/1 scale vehicles.

It will offer maxium power equally to both rear wheels.Best suited for low traction ,straight line use like tractor pulling, sand drags, mud bogging,or even rock crawling.

My 2 cents

Have any tranny pics? You got a deal RRP FOC metal geared tranny for a stock tranny. Have you ran it yet?

yeah but the front bearing is missing and the tranny was from a buddy who really needed an enigne so he hooked me up i hooked him up got lots more then just the forward only seesm to run great but i need to get the bearing
