Is the only difference between their metal and plastic setup the ring gear?

I.e. can I put a steel ring gear on my "plastic" dual slipper setup, and then have the steel setup? It looks to me that is the case, but I was wondering if anyone knew for sure.

Thanks!!!
-Chris

Yes, the only difference is the material that the ring gear is made of. If you have the set up and are currently running the plastic ring gear, upgrading to the steel should be a cost effective change and improve the survivability of the spur. You won't be disappointed.

Cool, thanks. I havent even installed my RRP yet, so the plastic gear is still very intact :) But for future reference, if I ever need a replacement, Ill just spring for the steel gear.

Thanks!!
-Chris
