damn one issue after another building a maxx from scratch. i got the new output shafts for the 1/8 scale diffs and the mip outdrives installed and everything went together just fine on the front but when i tried to install my mip cvds in the rear they were still too short.

it appears that the knuckle part of rpms tru trac rear suspension for the maxx widens the stance in the rear maybe half an inch on each side. this is not stated on rpms website or on towerhobbies where i ordered my parts. this maybe not be an issue with the stock plastic sliding half shafts but the mip cvds are too short because of this. can anyone confirm this or shed any light on my shituation. any help is always greatly appreciated. thanks

they are mip cvds for the 2.5. do the 2.5 and 3.3 maxxs use different legnth cvds in the rear?

i have the rpm arms on the front and they are the same length as the rear but just the hub/knuckle in the rear makes it wider. so maybe i am unsure of what you mean by wide maxx.
