I have a ofna 9.5 I was cleaning it last week and relized that I had a 15t bell clutch so I replaced the stock 13 with it and I was running it two days ago and it became rounded what would be the reson for this. It was meshed right and the motor mounts didnt move. could it of been that the bell clutch was spining really fast while the spur gear wasn't?

The only reason that (at least, that I can think of) teeth would become rounded is if the mesh wasn't right. Could it have been too tight or too loose?

are you running a metal spur or a plastic one. If your running a metal one you want to make sure your CB is HARDENED STEEL. If not you can chew through the teeth on the cb real easy.

It is a steel spur gear like most buggys the bell clutch could be to soft becasue it was my savages bell clutch.

You went to a larger clutch bell?,,, so you have an increased diameter (15t)over the stock 13t?
if so, you can now tell that even though the chassis and motor mounts are mounted solid, there is some flex to those components, under use, until/unless you go to a solid-one piece unit. which i dont think they make for your car...
it would probably be best to stick with a 13 or 14t bell unless you're bashing alot in a very wide open spot, as most tracks a 13t works best here in the US. and 14t use is rare.... the way you're going, you'll have to replace clutch bell bearings at a very high rate because of the side load/pressure on the bearings when you're clutch is engaged and the bell is rubbing at an angle on the metal under the use/stress/flex...

Ask Error about that one. The Savage and T-Maxx CB's are way too soft of buggies. I hve a shredded T-Maxx 18T CB. I did find that Tower sells 13T - 18T CB's for buggies. I just put a 16T CB on the Anti-Christ this evening. I'll probably go out and test it in a little while.
