i know i probably could find rhis somwhere else but i want ur guys oppinion.... is teh rotostart an good or whoul u get a pull start right away???:constipat craig ha ha ha ha ha ha

The rotostart is a nice feature but it one more thing that can go wrong and ruin your day.

You need to make sure the battery is charged before you go out and play. If you are having problems tuning your engine you will burn thru the battery pretty quick. There have been reports of people holding the button down too long and roaching the one way bearing.

If the RC dies in the middle of the field you need to either bring it back to the pits to restart it or lug the rotostart with you.

Once you get the engine dialed in they usually start with in the first 3 pulls.

I have to say, I am thinking twice about continuing to lug the rotostart around....

The rotostart is cool, but sometimes its a pain. I have an XTM 24.7 pro with the rotostart and a NitroStar .25 with the pull start. They both have their ups and downs. Basically if you dont mind carrying the starter/battery around, why change...

I have a picco .26 and just got the Roto start because i am to damn lazy to pull 3,4,5,6,..... times to get it started, then the pull starter breaks and i'm working on it for 30 min. then i'm pulling again. I like to push the button and go. mine starts in about 5 seconds. put the glow plug on insert shaft push button remove shaft remove glow starter go! :jet:

I like my Roto-Start too. I use it on the Picco .26 as well. The ONLY thing I will say, is the starter unit itself is a complete piece of poop! The first one I had caught fire, the second one the switch was also garbage and the 3rd one I havent used. I only bought ONE and the rest were RMA's. I decide my drill does a MUCH better job.

Nice Feature

Its a nice feature and all it cranks the engine over very nice, but i agree lugging that damn thing around :thumbdown. I said screw it and started using my buddies starter box.

:flaming: Killed my roto start too, so I went back to using my pullstart for my .46. I do not think I am going back to the rotostart.
:smoke:

How are you using a starter box on Savage?
