Roto start question

I have a Savage 25. I am about to drop a Mach 26 in it but I want to use the roto start that I used on the stock motor. Do you know if anyone makes a roto start back plate for the Mach 26? I looked on Tower with no luck. Any ideas?

I'm sure someone else can give you a quick answer, but have you tried to fit the stock roto-start on the Mach?
I'm not familiar with the Mach 26 engine but I've used the same roto-start backplate on at least three engines produced by different companies.
Sometimes you can adapt the roto to the engine.
Oddly enough about 15 minutes ago I finshed cutting out some carbon fiber shims (salvaged parts saved from the garbargeman) so I could switch the roto from an Orion (external hex OWB) to a Picco (hex headed shaft w/internal OWB).

I wish it was that easy. The original roto is too small to fit onto the Mach 26 backplate the screw holes do not line up.

If you want to stick with a roto-start like backplate I'm sure you could find something that fits both your engine and is operational once it's fitted into the Savage.
Most of the time older Savages (non XL) want a roto-start that has the drive in the corner and not in the center of the rotoplate. So while A-Main suggests the following for a Mach 28, even if it fits your Mach 26, I'm not sure that it would work on your Savage.

Thanks for the Ofna plate link. That's probably the one I'm gonna go with just because it will use almost the same set-up as the stock HPI roto plate.
