Today i got my new plug for my savage and was totally ready to fire her up for the first time,i plug the starter in,and it start's slippin like a mofo,so then i took the engine out, took the backplate off, checked my one way, cleaned it all up and it looks fine,I'm pretty sure i put it in the right way,But it's still slipping. Does anybody have any idea's on what could be possibly making it slip, the owd look's fine. I'm just unsure if it's connecting right. Help?

The bad thing about roto starts is the added torque is very bad on the owb. Remove the roto plate and make sure it turns freely, if it does it's the owb regardless of how good it looks it's not handling the extra torque of the roto start.

BTW looking from the rear of the truck the owb should bite the shaft when turning clockwise.

Alright ill check that out in the morning,i like electric starting,i just hate the bad timing of the problem.

Make sure you have a spring pushing on the OWS so that it's all the way in there. If it's out some, it won't grab.

Alright ill check that too,I'm going to tear it down in a hour or so,ill let yall know then.

any updates? Roto starts are kind of known for ruining one way bearings. I dont know which way it goes on usually, so I just move it in my hand to test which way it grabs.
