I've never seen one run, but I have heard on several occasions from a few different sources that they lack the high-end for longer straights and are a bit touchy for tuning. It certainly LOOKS like a kick ass little race engine and it does perform well when tuned properly from what I've heard.

It just seems like a chunk of change to drop when there are quite a few other choices that are known for performance for a LOT less money. Not knockin' it, the price tag just makes me cringe.

yeah it does look like a bad ass!!! mmmmmm i got a bonus from work and was gonna use it for a new mill. . I know the o.s engines are awesome but I'm not sure which is a great one. I want a haulin' ass motor that will HOLD a tune. What others would be a good choice?

Lets say in the $200- 250???

From what I've heard the Rossi has megga low end torque. The top end is not quite that of others, but it is real good for a tight track. I guess you could gear it higher for a fast track and it would probably do well.

I've ran and tuned the black magic. It is very, very punchy. Runs strong throught the midrange but dies off around 80 feet. Patience is a virtue when tuning it. Not impossible to tune, but you do have to have an idea of what you are doing. Also, it has to be one of the slickest-looking engines out there.

The red engine looks so cool! Too bad it is only for on road. I have the Black Magic on order. I was going to go with a OS VZ-B in my buggy, then heard about the problems with the cylinder so I decided to go for broke and put the Black Magic in. They say that it will take at least a half gallon to fully break it in, but you can lean it out after 5 or 6 tanks.

I may have a black magic for sale within the next week if anyone is interested. Has about a half gallon through it.

FlyinRazorback did you ever sell your Black Magic? Why did you sell it? I have heard that some of them have flame out problems.
Were you having this problem?
