Are there any other types of roll cage that does just as a good job because this one weighs way too much , and any of my shell's have to be majorly modified to fit which is rather annoying. And what are your thoughts on aluminium arms and shock towers or should i stick with my rpm's ?

Its mainly the engine that needs protectin coz when it rolls without the cage the engine gets knocked and sometimes shreds my spur .

Mine definatly does not sit snug and low like that any ideas as to why mine is so high ?
 
I have seen it said on here to go aluminum down the middle and rpm in the corners. iwould keep the rpm arms, aluminum arms can bend. new era has some nice looking roll bars
 
Got some great stuff on there going to top up my paypal account on tuesday and order there cage cheers for the link . Do you know anything about them power extractors they have on there that go in your exhaust ?
 
I honestly have not seen that before. I was under the impression that parts added to the motor such as this and super chargers etc. were just a flashy waste of money. that part is cheap so you could try it. if you do buy it, post the results on here, I'm curious to know if something like this could make that much of a difference.
 
I'm from the uk so its only about 15 quid might try it . Will post a thread on it . I'm intriged . Gunna see if i can find some more info on it . Watch this space .

budget drag racers use collector
extensions all the time to help
with low end torque. i have seen
gain of over 50 ft/lb of torque
just by adding a collector
extension on a big block chevy.
so, by lengthening the headers,
you get great low end power,
and throttle response. a short
header will wield hot top end.
just like real cars. . . . . . . . TAKEN from a Traxxas forum .

Either it's not made to fit a T-Maxx or you just don't understand how it should be mounted. I don't have any handy but if you want I can get you some close up pics of how mine is mounted.
 
Tha would be really helpfull , its definatly for a t maxx , and mine mounts on ( the plastic bits ) where your bumpers are .
 
Sounds like you're right. Here's mine,they mount between the bumper mounts on the bulk heads.

EDIT: I just re-looked at your picture,looks like your bumper mounts are upside down and you're mounted where the bumper itself bolts on. It needs to be down where the bumper mounts attache to the bulk heads.

Thanks for taking the time to upload and take them pics . But mine hasn't got the metal fins to bolt onto the bulkheads just the round bar all over , i have a spare set of mount's will have to try shortening them or something . Cheers racer .
