IMO,
Looks should be the last thing you think about when it comes to a roll cage. Just by examining the photo you linked to I would say your asking for trouble.

It is secured to what looks like the bulkhead. If the impact is hard it seems as if the points that hold the cage would snap like a twig.

The RC solutions cage would offer a more durable solution.
I don't own a Savage and all this is based on the photos I have seen of both cages. If your looking for the most durable cage that will protect ALL your parts, keep looking.

In my opinion RC-Solutions offer the most durability and also New Era Models. The one you show is doesn't protect the truck that much. It looks cool but you Truck will still be damaged.

Good eye for sighting the bulkhead connections. I too thought the roll cage looked cool and liked the price. But I'll keep looking as well.

Thats another reason to check this sight out. Find out what works and what breaks.

The RC Solutions cage may cost just a bit more but in the long run will save you more than the difference in price. It will also add to the entire RC experience not having to pack up early and go home due to broken parts.

Money well spent.

I am in the process of mounting the RC-Solutions cage to my Savage now.

It also mounts to the front of the front bulks and rear of the rear bulks, but also has center/side mounts.

I also had a problem whereas the side mount where the exhaust should run through had 2 holes cut in it, of which, neither one lined up with the exhaust. I might suggest it be one big hole cut so that custom, other than stock exhausts, can be used no matter what. I'm having a buddy of mine cut away the rest at his shop.

Aside from that, the cage is awesome overall. The design itself is what sold me. Multiple mounting points, ample coverage of your key components and enough cross supports to make it amazingly rigid. After I get the part back, I will report on its real world testing.

if you have a strong body, like a proline one, that rollcage you posted will pretty much protect the same thing as the strong body. the body posts are still hanging out it seems. i think a strong body will just protect the same amount of stuff as that rollcage. i ahve the rc-solutions rollcage and it protects the whole savage.
