I've never run either, but I hear many good things about RC-Solutions. You will have to cut your body a bit to make it fit, but I've heard they are the best cage out there.

Well I ordered it Just now along with the HPI Mounted Goliath Tires on the Tremor Chrome Wheels. those things look like beasts

you won't be pleased.

I destroyed an rcs cage in no time. It just bends way too easy and ends up twisting the tvp with it. your best bet is to find someone who makes delrin cages and have them make one for you. I grabbed a rage cage before they quit production and its held up fine to even the most brutal upside down landings. The delrin will also slide instead of scaping on the cement. I flipped at wot in a parking lot and the truck slid on the cage for a good 40 feet.

From the rcs page: Crashing on asphalt will bend it, as will high speed impacts with solid objects.
what the heck? Thats why i bought the cage. so i could flip it on asphalt with no worries. I've hit more than my fair share of solid objects. Specifically when i hit the brakes too hard and the truck slid at about 15-20 mph into the rear axle of my F250. I just pulled it out and kept driving.
few pics found online. i'll post more as i find them

=[ you make me very sad. lol, well i guess when it bends and takes out my TVP's ill get the Fastlane TVP's and a new cage. what do you think about the hard bodyz cage?

i have the fastlanes and love them. Even tho i got the one set they every made with the wrong size hole. none of my larger brace screws fit so i called them and they said the machinist had changed some stuff and set it up wrong. So i had to redrill around 10 holes.

anyway they are still a great company in my book.

not a big fan of the hard bodyz either. You really want a delrin cage. It will flex and absorb the impact instead of staying rigid and putting a ton of stress on its mounting points.

there was a support exactly where the bend is above his engine. You can clearly see where the hole is for the bolt/screw. Was missing at the time of impact too. If that brace was installed before the crash, it would ALSO have bent the opposite side.

a little info on Hard Bodyz. Their products are junk. Their designs are poor, the quality is poor, and the material they use is also bogus.

NEVER buy from hard bodyz. If you want a cage, head to this guy: http://dadders.net/cagemain.htm

his cages put Hard Bodyz to shame.

the support above the engine is poorly placed as well. it makes it almost impossible to latch the glow starter properly

hmmm well i have already ordered the RCS cage =[ I will give it a shot

i'd keep checking in with dadders. his site has said that the savage cage was coming soon for quite some time now.

Yeah i looked and they look like awesome cages. I also can't wait for FastLane to come out with there aluminum tranny case. I got one from GPM but as soon as theres is released I'm upgrading

RCS makes a very nice cage for the Savage. Like any metal cage it will bend with certain impacts. If you do a search there was some guy that made additional braces to beef up the RCS cage. After those braces were installed, the cage was bulletproof at the expense of being heavier. The delrin cages are also very nice, if you can find someone to make one for you.

I would think twice about dealing with Dadders. Their customer service stinks and their machining work is sloppy. Their website is seldom updated. I just checked their site the other day and they are still showing pictures of an old design for their XTM Mammoth braces, even though the current design for the braces changed over a year ago. I will never do business with Dadders again.

and speaking of business with dadders, i guess he messed up a engine pretty bad lol. i've got a buddy who has been waiting for his engine for a good 2 months now to get fixed.

I pm'd him about the cages, no reply for the past 3-4 days.
